Achieve Beyond Schools (ABS)
Dedicated special needs schools offer tailored curricula, smaller class sizes, and adults who are specially trained in special education. This ensures that children with a wide range of learning, social, developmental, and physical needs receive the personalised care and support they deserve. Special schools also foster safe and supportive communities where children can build confidence, independence, and life skills at their own pace. We proudly introduce you to ABS. Founded in 2026 by three diverse and highly experienced practitioners, we develop and oversee small schools that not only improve educational outcomes but also promote equity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all our children.
About the proprietor body

Patrik Foster
I am a highly experienced special educational needs practitioner and before joining ABS, I was the Executive Head of outstanding schools in London and Essex for pupils aged five–16. I have significant leadership and inspection experience with both Ofsted and the Independent Schools Inspectorate, including the Independent School Standards, and opening new provisions. Previously, I have provided leadership consultancy within an Academy Trust for a free school, and was a Deputy Headteacher in a preparatory school in Derbyshire.

Natalie Tonks
Prior to joining ABS, I gained 24 years experience in mainstream education, including 16 years in senior pastoral leadership roles. I have extensive experience supporting children and young people with SEN and SEMH, with a strong focus on inclusion, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. More recently, I led a successful alternative provision, working closely with schools and local authorities to support effective reintegration into mainstream education.

Daniel Rochester
I am an award winning practitioner with over 25 years’ experience working with children and young people across education and specialist settings. I have extensive experience supporting pupils with a strong focus on behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and positive engagement, especially within the criminal justice sector. I have successfully led and developed delivery within prison estates including STC and YOI, helping young people rebuild confidence, develop resilience, and achieve success. Alongside this, my background in football coaching has enabled me to use sport as a powerful tool to motivate and inspire pupils.
